The Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora Snowdrop Tech Showcase Released is a Tech Showcase Event in partnership with Pandoran Technologies at the annual GDC (Game Developer Conference) Conference in San Francisco. Pandoran Technologies will show two great games making use of the Snowdrop engine tech and how it is used in real-world projects.
It’s been a long time coming, but the first major open world Avatar game is finally hitting the airwaves. For the first time in the series, players are going to be able to explore the fictional world of Pandora, from flying in its sky to climbing its mountains to exploring its depths and more.
Last week, at a press conference in Los Angeles, reporters got their first look at Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, a tech showcase for the Avatar movie that is being developed by Pandora’s creators, Lightstorm Entertainment. The showcase is made up of 21 new tech demos showing all the ways in which Lightstorm is hoping to push Avatar’s tech forward.

This game was developed exclusively for next-gen consoles, allowing the team to create the open world of Pandora with snowdrop technology.

Avatar: In Frontiers of Pandora, players take on the role of the Na’vi and embark on a journey across the western frontier. Unique creatures and new characters await you, and players must take on the GDR forces that threaten the country.
The game will be released in 2024 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, Google Stadia and Amazon Luna.
