August 9, 2010: Guantanamo Bay, Cuba (Aug. 4, 2010) The amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) ports at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, for refueling and supplies. Iwo Jima finished its first phase of humanitarian assistance operations in Haiti supporting Continuing Promise 2010, a four-month humanitarian and civic assistance mission through Latin America and the Caribbean.
