| May 20, 2008: On May 20, the U.S. Embassy donated 23 new flight suits to the Costa Rican Air Surveillance Wing, part of the Ministry of Public Security. This donation comes as part of the overall anti-narcotics relationship between the United States and Costa Rica. Air Surveillance Wing pilots, who will wear these flight suits, fly long hours and in often difficult weather to track and help interdict drug smugglers.
