Policy Statements
This section of "Just the Facts" presents links to what others are saying about U.S. security policy in Latin America and the Caribbean.
"Policy Statements" links are divided among four categories.
- U.S. Government Statements and Reports: Links to statements from officials in the executive branch of the U.S. government, as well as official reports - most of them required by Congress - detailing aspects of U.S. policy toward the region.
- Statements from Members of the U.S. Congress: Links to statements from members of the U.S. House and Senate.
- Statements from Other Governments in the Region: Links to statements from officials of other governments in the hemisphere - executive, legislative, judicial or military - regarding U.S. policy.
- Other Non-Governmental Analyses: Links to statements and reports from non-governmental organizations, think-tanks and international organizations (such as the OAS and UN), both in the United States and elsewhere, about U.S. policy.
