| December 4, 2008: BISIRA, PANAMA -- Community members here unload 3,000 pounds of food ‎staples and water from a Joint Task Force-Bravo UH-60 Black Hawk ‎helicopter Friday. Nearly 50 service members and seven helicopters from JTF-Bravo are ‎deployed in parts of Panama and Costa Rica to assist in flood relief efforts. JTF-Bravo helicopters ‎have moved about five tons of food and supplies, and evacuated 16 flood victims in need of ‎immediate medical attention, to include six children and four pregnant women from remote ‎villages. | December 1, 2008: CHANGUINOLA, PANAMA -- Tech. Sgt. Tracy Fletcher, a Joint Task Force-Bravo emergency ‎medical technician, carries a 7-month-old baby from a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter to an ‎ambulance. The baby, suffering from severe dehydration, was transported to a local hospital. ‎Service members from JTF-Bravo are here in support of a request from the Panamanian ‎government for assistance with recent flooding caused by prolonged heavy rains in the country. ‎‎(U.S. Air Force photo by 1st Lt. | December 1, 2008: LAS TABLAS, PANAMA-- Tech. Sgt. Tracy Fletcher, a Joint Task Force-Bravo emergency ‎medical technician, secures a 7-month-old baby and her mother in the seat of a UH-60 Black ‎Hawk helicopter Wednesday. Both were victims of flooding in the region. The baby was suffering ‎from severe dehydration, but her mother was unable to take her to a hospital because of flooded ‎roads. The JTF-Bravo helicopter transported the baby and five other patients from a remote ‎airfield to an airport where an ambulance met the patients and transported them to a local ‎hospital. | November 14, 2008: ATLANTIC OCEAN, Off the coast of Guyana (November 12, 2008) - Aviation Warfare Systems Operator 2nd Class Zachary Gillespie and Aviation Warfare Systems Operator 3rd Class Phillip Gonzales from Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron TWO EIGHT (HSC-28), Detachment 5, currently embarked aboard USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), hoist a Norwegian man from SVC Tanux II, an ocean-going tug, during a search and rescue medical evacuation. Responding quickly to an emergency medical distress call for assistance, Kearsarge launched the SAR aircraft and the air crew transported the patient safely to Guyana for further medical evaluation. Kearsarge is supporting the Caribbean Phase of the humanitarian/civic assistance mission Continuing Promise 2008, an equal partnership mission between the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, Brazil, Nicaragua, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago and Guyana.
