February 16, 2010: Marines and Sailors of Combat Logistics Battalion 24, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, off-load three Haitian patients from a MH-60, Feb. 5. The patients were transported from the USNS Comfort and received immediate medical care upon arrival at the interim aftercare facility in Port au Prince, Haiti. February 16, 2010: BONEL, Haiti (Jan. 27, 2010) Doctors and nurses at Hospital Cardinal Leger, a tent hospital outside of Leogane, Haiti, treat patients in need of medical care. The multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) is on station in Haiti along with the amphibious dock landing ships USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43), USS Gunston Hall (LSD 44), and USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) as the Bataan Amphibious Relief Mission supporting Operation Unified Response, a joint operation providing military support capabilities to civil authorities to help stabilize and improve the situation in Haiti following a 7.0 magnitude earthquake that devastated the island nation on Jan. 12, 2010. February 12, 2010: PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (Feb. 8, 2010) -- U.S. Army logistics specialists use the Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore (JLOTS) system to move cargo ashore. The JLOTS system, which uses a floating causeway to offload cargo in areas with no working port, has been critical to getting aid into Haiti. February 12, 2010: CAP HAITIEN, Haiti (Feb. 5, 2010) The leaders of a U.S. military civil affairs team assigned to Cap Haitien meet with Delegate Georgemain Prophete and Anne Hadcroft of the U.N. Feb. 5 to discuss the city's current capabilities regarding the humanitarian assistance efforts and how the team could be of assistance to the government. Approximately 30,000 victims of the earthquake have relocated to Cap Haitien, which created the need for additional assistance. February 12, 2010: In the mobile control tower Feb. 2, Nadia Adma, Haitian controller, observes tower operations from (left) Tech. Sgt. Robert Stewart, 260th Air Traffic Control Squadron air traffic controller, and (right) Tech. Sgt. Jerry Scurlock, 258th ATCS air traffic controller.
