July 17, 2009: MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay (July 7, 2009) Seaman Wesley Graham assigned to Beachmasters Unit TWO and Ensign Vanessa Nieves assigned to amphibious dock landing USS Oak Hill (LSD 51) paint a wall inside Hospital Hogar Pineyro in Montevideo, Uruguay during a community relations project. Oak Hill is participating in a combined multinational exercise Southern Partnership Station a combined naval and amphibious operation with maritime forces from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay. June 17, 2009: TUMACO, Colombia (June 11, 2009) -- Lt. Albert Cruz, a member of the U.S. Navy’s maritime civil affairs team, talks with members of the International Relief and Development, an international humanitarian group, which received 68 pallets of medical supplies, school supplies and first aid kits. Cruz helped in the organization and delivery of the pallets from various non-government organizations to the IRD in support of Continuing Promise 2009 (CP09). More than 20 humanitarian organizations have donated items or provided personnel to CP09, which is a humanitarian and civic assistance mission to Latin America and the Caribbean region.
