| July 4, 2008: USS Simpson Commanding Officer Cmdr. Edwin Kaiser greets U.S. Ambassador to the Eastern Caribbean Mary Ourisman. The ambassador took part in a presentation recognizing Project Handclasp donations Simpson gave to the St. Lucian Red Cross and Salvation Army. Simpson was in St. Lucia for a 6-day port visit in support of Theater Security Cooperation (TSC), Sailors participated in community relations events, Subject Matter Expert Exchanges and other events designed to strengthen ties and establish working relationships with partner nations.
