August 18, 2010: The multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) sits at anchor off the coast of Colombia while conducting well deck operations. Iwo Jima is supporting the Continuing Promise 2010 humanitarian civic assistance mission. The assigned medical and engineering staff embarked aboard Iwo Jima are working with partner nation teams to provide medical, dental, veterinary, and engineering assistance to several different nations.
